People v. Mae West et al, Court of General Sessions, County of New York (1928). These are the papers of Mae West's attorney, Nathan Burkan, in the course of his representation of Ms. West when she and the cast of the play "The Pleasure Man" were tried for various counts, all variant on a desire to censor the play for its content, which includes cross-dressing and implied homosexuality. The first page is a table of contents. Note that People v. Joe Flinn is part of the table of contents but was not scanned (it is a case about liability for a fire at a movie studio).
